ECM-1220.H-PL
The ECM-1220.H –PL model does not require a recessed box or hole in the wall. The CTs and Wall Transformer are plugged into the top of the unit.
PROS: - Quick and easy installation
CONS: - Not as appealing… plugs are visible
ECM-1220.H-WR
The ECM-1220.H –WR model require a recessed box or hole in the wall to conceal the wiring. The CTs and Wall Transformer connections are hard wired using wire nuts.
PROS:
Finished installation is cosmetically more appealing
Allows extension of cables for installation at a distance from the service panel.
CONS:
- Requires more time for installation

PLUG Style with Wireless Communications
The ECM-1220.H-PL-X is equipped with a radio for wireless communication with a computer.
This model includes the Z2B dongle which allows your computer to communicate with the ECM-1220 and receive updated data once per second.
