GEM knockout locations

My new GEM will not get here for several days and I would like to do some conduit prep.

Can someone tell me the size of the knockouts in the bottom of the GEM, the distance between them (center to center), and the distance from the center of the knockouts to the back (wall)?

Hello Mike,

The GEM case has three knock outs one on the top left and two on the bottom. The knock outs are (approx) 5/8" in diameter. The top knock out is 1/4" from the body frame on either side. The bottom knock outs are (approx) 1/2" from the sides and 1/4" from the back wall.

Page 19 of the GEM install manual will show you a good picture of the approx distance of the knock outs. The rear of the base of the case has an addition 4 knock outs.

So, if the GEM case is 7 1/8" wide, I think that gives me 5 1/2" center to center.

For your amusement: My laptop computer runs Linux Mint and uses a program called okular to display pdf files. The title bar of the okular window shows the document title from the pdf internal properties. For the current GEM manual, that title is "ECM-1220 User's Manual".
