ECM1240/Dashbox vs. Tesla solar app

Post by mathewbeall » Sat Feb 18, 2023 12:51 am

Hello!

I just started looking at the data my Tesla app (used to be solar city) is producing vs. what my ECM1240 is showing - its a really big difference.

Today for example - the tesla app says I generated 18.7kWh. When I go into the dashbox report - it shows 11.3kWh. I reset everything back to "regular" - no nets or anything - so Solar is on Ch2, on a 60amp circuit.

How would I got about troubleshooting this? I am not sure which one is correct.

How is everything wired up? Can you send over a quick sketch?

Ch2 will have to be set to NET for Net metering data.

It ended up being an issue with the CT not being clipped on one of the wires... :) An electrician was in the box doing some work and moved the circuit and didn't hook things back up right.

Now that its right - all good!
