Example Installations


Here are some sample CT requirements for typical house circuits:

  1. Simple installation concentrating on heavy loads using a single ECM-1240.
  2. Typical Home monitored with two ECM-1240 Devices.
  3. Home with 400A service and a remote sub-panel using three ECM-1240 Devices.
  4. Solar or Wind "Net" metering installation, also monitoring a few major loads.
  5. Multi-Tenant building (Seven Apartments).

 

Make sure your service is not 3-phase or powered from two phases of a 3-phase source.

 

If your house wiring uses aluminum wiring, the Micro-40 CT inner diameter may be too small for some of the wiring. This may require using Micro-80 CTs instead.
