XB-1240 Wireless Radio Option

This option incorporates a wireless radio in the ECM-1240. This radio has an internal "whip" antenna.

A slight improvement in communication range may be obtained by upgrading this option to incorporate an external 2dBi swivel antenna. This upgrade is indicated by the suffix "-E" of the part number.

*Requires EtherBee or Wireless Dongle to complete the communication link.

The wireless radio option provides the ECM-1240 with the ability to communicate wirelessly to a computer or network via optional EtherBee (Ethernet connection) or Wireless Dongle (USB connection).

NOTE: This is not a WiFi radio. The radio communication uses ZigBee® protocol on a mesh network.

The U2Z-E features an external antenna to improve the wireless range.

WR-1 Wireless Repeater
WR-1 Wireless Repeater

Extends the communication range by inserting a node into the wireless mesh network operating using the ZigBee protocol.

This device automatically relays the signal between any of the wireless devices based on signal strength, with the ECM-1240 using a computer's USB port.

The WR-1-E incorporates an external antenna further improving the range
